A few things you might be wondering.
Answers to common questions about classes, experience levels, materials, and registration at Petites Étoiles Atelier.
Does my student need previous drawing experience?
No. Programs are designed around the experience level appropriate for that particular course, and students are guided through the concepts taught during class. Artists with more experience can apply the same lessons at a more advanced level.
Does my student need to have a specific art style?
Not at all. Petites Étoiles Atelier teaches transferable drawing and character-design principles rather than requiring students to imitate one particular style. Students are encouraged to apply what they learn to their own artistic interests.
Are there art camps being offered?
Yes! We have a total of four different themed art camps that will be held at the South Huntsville Public Library at different times of the year during school breaks. Our first art camp is Flora+Figure and will be held on October 6-8th, 2026 from 2PM-5PM at South HMCPL. (The HMCPL does not sponsor this event.)
Do we need to purchase art supplies separately?
The special thing about us is that unless specified, each student will take home a curated art kit for that course/workshop. Each kit a specially designed to give artists a solid foothold in the next step of their creative journey. On the Humanitix website, you will purchase the kit "separately" (as it is tangible goods, therefore taxable while the tuition is not) but altogether, the price for the kit and registration will reflect the advertised cost.
What happens after I register?
Registration is completed securely through Humanitix. After registering, you'll receive the information needed for your session, including any program-specific instructions you should know before the first class.
Do you have any virtual events or classes available?
There is a virtual workshop called Starlight Archivist for those who can't make in-person events. This once a month class is held on the third Saturday each month and is a livestream, with each participant's mic and camera turned off. This way, you can focus on what is being taught in a low-stim environment.
